We Are Instrumental’s mission is to improve accessibility to musical education for children in Northern NY by providing well-working instruments and dynamic enrichment opportunities, and supporting the sustainability of our efforts through relevant professional development training for teachers of the region.

“So if I wanted to talk a little bit about WAI the way that it’s impacted my life- of course I’d say that it’s greatly impacted my life first- and a TON of my music career has been facilitated by WAI. I mean, I play on a horn that is loaned to my school by [WAI], my private lesson teacher is funded through WAI – I’ve never had to pay a dime for any of my lessons, my trips to Carnegie Hall and to London have been financed by the fundraising soley thanks to WAI, and I’ve been connected to many great musicians out in the field thanks my contacts through WAI. I play with Vermont State University Wind Ensemble and I play with Middlebury’s Orchestra… So it’s been SUCH an amazing opportunity for me, I couldn’t have asked for more and hopefully this is gonna take me from my highschool music career to further places in my music career- maybe into college- who knows!! But, I’ve really been kickstarted by WAI”
