Museum of Innovation and Science (miSci)

miSci is an interactive science museum located in Schenectady, New York. The museum’s focus is on presenting exhibitions and programs that celebrate science, inventions and technology – past, present and future. The many unique interactive exhibitions and programs encourage visitors to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The museum includes gallery space that houses thousands of exhibit items, the Suits-Beuche Planetarium, and classrooms.

The exhibit uses the history of communication technologies to illustrate STEM concepts for families and school children and allows miSci to highlight its amateur radio station and rich collection of radios.”

Allocation: Funding supports an exhibit titled ‘Let’s Connect! Exploring Communication Technology.” This innovative interactive exhibit will become a traveling exhibit the museum will rent out to other museums over the next decade, creating a valuable income stream.
